Exam failure? Flexible new short revision course provides ‘at home’ tuition
London based supplementary tuition specialist Tutor House is offering new short revision courses, encompassing 5 hours of tuition over a 14 week period, in all A level subjects, with one to one tuition in the student’s home.
The courses, which start in September, are tailored to each individual with a dedicated tutor appointed to schedule the required amount of supplementary tuition in advance of the January ‘re-takes’.
Head of Tutor House, Alex Dyer, said, “When the August results come through a lot of students who haven’t made their grades will be facing a real crossroads. An intense course with a private tutor giving one to one tuition in their exam subjects can put them in a much better position by Christmas, in readiness for re-taking one or more A levels in January”.
The short revision courses focus on the exam subject, but include bonus sessions in developing revision skills and ‘how to study’.
Alex Dyer continued “Those wanting to get into University, but not having the grades, will need to get themselves back into the running by early 2013 when they will face competition for university places from the next year’s intake of students. A short, intense study course will supplement what they have learned at school by highlighting and addressing weaknesses in the subject as honing up revision and study skills”.
The new Tutor House short revision courses with a dedicated tutor include XX hours of tuition in a location of the student’s choice, (usually at home) and cost £3,595 for the 14 weeks, comparing favorably with conventional college crammer courses, usually costing over £4000 for the same amount of provision.
