Alex tutored our son for his PE a level re-sits in January. We would highly recommend him. He was always very flexible, prompt and reliable. Alex is very easy company and quickly established a good rapport which really lightened the chore of re-sitting and helped rebuild confidence .The lessons were focused and collaborative, which kept our son engaged even through the longer sessions. Alex set and followed up on work for the following session meanwhile, which ensured that lessons were well prepared for and learning was consolidated. Importantly, Alex had a very good knowledge of the syllabus and what was expected and so lessons were focused and he greatly improved both our son’s revision and exam technique. Finally, Alex’s experience and talent in ‘question picking’ won through in the exams and undoubtedly contributed to the grade improvement our son achieved.

I wanted to retake my Business Studies A-Level over a short period of time, but not pay the high tuition fees at a college. So I called tutor house, they were really helpful, they sort a tutor for me overnight and he was brilliant. We worked through exam papers, while looking at key material and areas in the specification. The short course was great, we had a couple of hours during the week and one every weekend for about 3 months, this allowed me to work part time and gain some valuable work experience to boost my UCAS form. I sat my business studies papers (two of them) in January. I went from a D to an A! Amazing. The tutor was thorough and really new his stuff. I would certainly recommend the short retake course to other A Level students.

Alex tutored my son for 3 – 4 months for a Physical Education A Level re-sit during a gap year. Alex was professional, very understanding, and had a great deal of experience. We’d never used a tutor before so were a little unsure what to expect; in fact, Alex was everything you could ask for in a tutor – reliable, friendly, organized, knew precisely what areas to focus on, and how to improve the grade.

Time was very limited and my son was working full time. They scheduled tutor sessions and a study timetable between themselves, and Alex was happy to mark practice past papers as well.

Alex general experience with A levels, re-sits, and the university application process was an added bonus!
